The restaurant’s extensive and thoughtfully crafted menu highlights a spectrum of dishes that sing with vivid, fresh ingredients and bold spices. For those craving something hearty and comforting, the Enchiladas Tres Amigos offer a delightful trio of flavors: sweet and spicy mole, tangy suizas with avocado slices, and rich tomato-based rancheras, each topped with gooey cheese and smooth sour cream.
Seafood lovers will find divine options like Camarones Botaneros, featuring grilled shrimp bathed in buttery garlic and jalapeños, or the fiery and complex Camarón Cascabel sautéed with cascabel chiles and salsa diabla. The burrito bar invites diners to customize their creations with a choice of meats like al pastor or barbacoa, complemented by fresh rice, beans, and flavorful premium toppings such as grilled jalapeños and salsa de arbol, resulting in generous portions perfect for sharing or savoring solo.
The dining experience at El Tejaban is further enriched by the warm and attentive service, with servers like Gisel being recognized for their genuine hospitality. Whether you're a first-timer delighting in Mexican flavors or a returning guest praising the consistently outstanding guacamole and queso, the vibe here is casual and authentic, with a subtle buzz of enthusiasm that complements the lively dishes.
Don't miss finishing your meal with a sweet touch of fried ice cream or golden churros, perfectly paired with a mojito or a bold michelada. Breakfast fans can indulge in a generously stuffed breakfast burrito or the flavorful vegetarian fajitas, which, although limited in variety, come in satisfying portions that showcase fresh vegetables grilled to perfection.
El Tejaban Mexican Grill is a true local treasure where the richness of Mexican culinary tradition meets a friendly neighborhood charm, offering a feast for the senses that leaves a lasting impression. Whether seeking classic dishes or a creative seafood twist, this is a spot where taste, quantity, and heartfelt service come together to create an unforgettable dining encounter.
It’d be easier to navigate the menu if it had images but our server was a good sport and tried her best. I was happy with my final choices, presentation, taste and quantity. This was my first time Having Mexican cuisine and it did not disappoint.
Hole in the wall restaurant. Came for brunch and we got shrimp and a burrito. There were a lot of tables seated so service was a bit slow. It was slow the last time I was there, so just be prepared to be patient. Food was tasty and worth the wait.
Amazing food, I recommend the Oaxaca quesadilla and Camarones botaneros, great service. Gisel super nice and cordial, thank you Gisel for excellent service!!!
Best guacamole AND queso EVER!!! Hands down! The food was excellent and the service on point. One if thee best Mexican places I've been to and we're celebrating mothers day there as well! Don't 4get to tip, preferably cash!
The vegetarian selection was limited, but the portion size was huge! I ordered one dish to share with my date, and that was filling. The guac and salsa were slightly bland, so remember to ask for a kick if you like spicy. The house margaritas were a good addition. The servers were very receptive and stopped by regularly to ask if we needed anything, so we felt well taken care of.
I showed up in person for a meal. I recieved the dishes that I ordered. This was my first time eating here. I went on a weekday. In the evening. The food was served within a normal amount of wait time. The taste of the food was fair. The resturant had lots of spaces open. There was music playing very quietly in the background. There is an open parking lot in front of this restaurant that had available spaces. The host/ waiter could have communicated more about what I wanted. For example I got water with ice, didn't want the cold ice in October. I didn't see any Uber, door dash drivers show up while I was eating. So I'm not sure if you can order food to be picked up from here. The French Fries were the favorite item from this meal.
Enchiladas were delicious, the 3 salsas were amazing; Mole, Ranchero and Suiza. Large restaurant. Very colorful inside. Awesome bar, if I drank!
